The temporal load of means of transport categories and means of transport instances can be found in the transport simulation view. It shows differences between the capacities and provides a direct overview of the required means of transport and the load of these.
This enables you to see whether the planner might need to make changes to the previous planning steps. These could possibly lead to an optimization of the load of the means of transport types and instances.
The Gantt view is used for evaluation in the Transport Simulation submodule:

If the mouse is moved over a means of transport type or a means of transport instance, there is a tooltip which shows the differentiation between the time utilization incl. empty trips and the time utilization excl. empty trips.
For direct means of transport:
- Means of direct transport - type (e.g. Contrax omnidrive AGV)
- Average utilization rate incl. transfer times:
Total time utilization incl. transfer times / number of means of transport instances -
Average utilization excl. transfer times:
Total time utilization excl. transfer times / number of means of transport instances -
Means of direct transport - instance (e.g. Contrax omnidrive AGV 1)
- Time utilization incl. transfer times:
(total process time / net working time of the means of transport) * 100
Total process time = Sum of the process time for loading full containers, driving, unloading full containers, loading empties, unloading empties, and the distribution time in each case - Time utilization excl. transfer times:
((total process time - transfer times) / net working time of the means of transport) * 100
Total process time = Total process time for loading full product, driving without transfer times, unloading full product, loading empties, unloading empties and the distribution time in each case.
For tuggers:
- For tuggers there are no empty runs to be considered in the calculation. The reason for this is that the transports always take place on one route. Therefore the individual tugger instances are evaluated under the name of the route.
- Tugger type/route
- Calculation of average utilization
Total time utilization / number of means of transport instances - Tugger instance
- Calculation of time utilization:
(process time total / net working time of tugger type) * 100
Total process time = total process time for loading full containers, driving, unloading full containers, loading empties, unloading empties, and distribution time in each case
Hint:
- The empty runs are also shown in the Transport Gantt as shown in the previous screenshot.
- The export of the transport list has also been adapted accordingly, so that a differentiation to empty trips can also be seen here.
