In ipolog, three user roles with different levels of authorization can be assigned. These are:
- super_admin
- system_admin
- project_admin
There are also the roles “user” (without authorizations), “developer” and “license_admin”. These cannot be assigned (to users).
super_admin
This role can be used to manage all systems in ipolog, regardless of the assigned system.
A super_admin may assign the following roles to other users:
- super_admin
- developer (not relevant for users)
- system_admin
- project_admin
A super_admin can also view and change all user claims in all systems and create, change and delete user authorizations for projects. They also may create license groups and assign licenses to users.
system_admin
This role can be used to invite users to a system. It is complementary to project_admin.
A system_admin can assign the following roles to other users:
- system_admin
- project_admin
A system_admin can also view and change all user claims in the assigned system and create, change and delete user authorizations for projects. They also may create license groups and assign licenses to users.
project_admin
This role can be used to change authorizations at project level in the assigned system and to unlock scenarios/planning areas that have been blocked by other users. It is complementary to system_admin.
A project_admin may assign the following roles to other users:
- project_admin
A project_admin may also view all user authorizations at project level in the assigned system and create, change and delete them.
user
With this role, you can do all things in an assigned system that the user authorizations allow. More about this here: User authorizations.
A user may not assign roles to other users.
A user may view their own user claims in the assigned system.
license_admin
This role can be used to set up and update new licenses in an assigned system. It is automatically assigned to the first user who registers the system with a license.
